Thomas Jefferson letter to James Dinsmore [manuscript], 1817 June 25.

Jefferson writes that [John M. ] Perry's land is the best site for Central College. Perry will give a deed on condition of doing the woodwork on the first building. Jefferson will be meeting [Hugh] Chisolm in Lynchburg to secure a bricklayer. Future building is dependent on the success of their fundraising.
